of Members
Members
can devote as much time or as little time as they wish to the
activities of
MAFSA.
Some of
the activities you can become involved in are
- Catching
of broodstock (fishing)
- Learning
of hatchery operations eg rearing of fingerlings (these have to be fed
twice a
day minimum)
- Fish
stocking surveys in our waterways
- Maintenance
of hatchery equipment
- Releasing
fingerlings under DPI supervision
- Displays
at Expo’s
- Education
& tours of hatchery for interested groups
- Fish
stocking conferences
- Fish
rescues
- Environmental
work eg construction of fishways, lagoons, structure or restoration of
habitat
- Administration
– Secretarial, Accounting, Report Writing, Funding Applications
etc.
Meetings
are held on the 3rd Thursday
of every month at the Gordon White
Library
at Mt
Pleasant. Meetings commence at 7.30pm.
